FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

TOURNAMENT RECIPIENT
The Heroes Cup presented by Grand Traverse Resort & Casinos, was designed to recognize and help raise funds for our everyday hometown heroes, including military veterans, first responders, and healthcare professionals. The concept for the Heroes Cup was born from the legacy of the Bob K Golf Classic, which ended in 2019 after celebrating 29 years of golf and charity. For his many years of service, Bob Kewaygoshkum (“Bob K”) was granted the 2019 Chairman's Leadership Award by the National Indian Gaming Association.
Proceeds from the 2025 tournament will benefit Michigan’s Disabled American Veterans, a non-profit organization that provides life-changing support for those who served. Michigan's Disabled American Veterans is dedicated to a single purpose: Empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. They accomplish this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them; fighting for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill; and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life.
