TOURNAMENT RECIPIENT

The Heroes Cup presented by Grand Traverse Band Economic Development Corporation, was designed to recognize and help raise funds for our everyday hometown heroes, including military veterans, first responders, and healthcare professionals. The concept for the Heroes Cup was born from the legacy of the Bob K Golf Classic, which ended in 2019 after celebrating 29 years of golf and charity. For his many years of service, Bob Kewaygoshkum (“Bob K”) was granted the 2019 Chairman's Leadership Award by the National Indian Gaming Association.

Proceeds from the 2026 tournament will benefit Eagletown American Legion Post 120 of Peshawbestown, Michigan was chartered as a national veteran organization in 2003, and its origination was motivated by local veterans as tribal members of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa & Chippewa Indians. Eagletown Post 120 continues to proudly celebrate its diversity with our community and joins all American Legions and their motto that "The American Legion strengthens America by improving the lives of our veterans, the military and their families".
